You
can describe God Dethroned as a very succesful dutch
death/thrash and black metal band. They have been
appearing on great and big festivals like Dynamo, Wacken
and Graspop. And in Amerika they did gigs with Cannibal
Corpse. Even in Japan they're a succes!
The
drummer Roel couldn't work on the new album 'cause of some
personal problems, that's why God Dethroned hired the
great drummer Tony Laureano from Nile and Angelcorpse!
The Album is including 11 tracks, like the short
instrumental song and two covers. The slow 'Consumed By
Darkness' is a cover of the Swedish death metal band Macabre
End and the ultra-fast 'Evil Dead' is of course a Death
cover. The songs 'Villa Vampira', 'The Poison Apple', 'The
Mysteries That Make You Bleed', 'The Crown For The Morbid'
and the album title song 'Ravenous' are great earripping
songs that will make you fucking psycho in your fucking
brain, they don't really sound like the tracks on the two
previous albums. At the end of the song 'The Iconoclast
Deathride', we can hear Aleister Crowley from Master
Therion and The Beast 666 speak a few
words.
Conclusion,
this is a must for the thrash, death and black metal fans.
