The
American death/grind metal band Malevolent Creation is
back with a new album, the 7th album in 13 years to be
exact. The band exists of Rob Barret
(guitar), Paul Fasciana (guitar, bandleader), Dave
Culcross (drums), Bret Hoffman (singer) and Gordon Simms
(bass). The new album 'Envenomed' let's you hear how
important a good stable band line-up is. Besides the for
this type of bands usual musical insanity of inhuman fast
rhythms, technical guitar work and inhuman roaring,
includes this 7th Malevolent-CD also a variety of eleven
great songs! The good guitarsolos and great vocal chorus
like in the song 'Homicidal Rant' seperates 'Envenomed'
clearly from other cd's, from other comparing younger
bands. With the clean guitar plays in the song 'Halved'
and the grinding, almost Enslaved-like melodies in 'Kill
Zone' has got this band from Fort Lauderdale a huge amount
of profundity. I think this is one of the best death-metal
album in years! The band has also added on the album two
old demotracks and a Malevolent recorded Dark Angel song
calt 'Perish In Flames'.
